Hi, I'm Mylenna
Fashion Designer & Product Developer
About me

Inspired by culture and contemporary design, I create fashion that blends storytelling with functionality. My work combines trend research, supplier collaboration, and campaign development, with a focus on thoughtful, purposeful design. I’m currently pursuing a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Technical Apparel Design at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where I explore performance innovation and sustainable practices to craft apparel that connects, empowers, and endures.

School Projects

The wetsuit project was developed with a strong purpose: to improve performance while addressing serious injury risks faced by surfers in my home country. My process began with identifying key hazards in the sport, which guided the design of a conceptual wetsuit integrating advanced materials and ergonomic features. I led the research, design, and concept development, focusing on elements like coral-cut resistance, shark deterrent systems, and targeted muscle support zones to enhance safety and reduce fatigue. The project reflects my commitment to innovation that prioritizes well-being, sustainability, and accessibility in surfwear design.

In this project, together with another colleague, we developed a complete technical sheet with specifications for suppliers.

The Arc’firyx collection was developed as part of a collaborative project aimed at reimagining workwear for wildland firefighters by integrating technical performance, sustainability, and user comfort.

The following project is a jacket designed for sports such as skiing and snowboarding. It was my own creation, from the creation to the sewing of the piece.

As part of a collaborative project, I co-developed an innovative cycling bib designed to enhance performance and recovery through advanced textile technology and ergonomic design. The core concept was to integrate kinesio tape functionality directly into the garment using custom high-performance fabrics.

The Soul Yoga collection was developed as part of an academic project with the intention of capturing the deeper essence of yoga—not just as a physical practice, but as a holistic lifestyle.

Graphic Draw
Every illustration I create is shaped by a journey that blends vision, experimentation, and careful refinement. My process begins with building a moodboard—a visual collection of references, color palettes, fabrics, and inspiration images—which guides the overall theme and emotional direction of each project.
With this foundation set, I sketch fashion croquis, capturing expressive poses and exploring silhouettes that bring my ideas to life. These hand-drawn bases allow me to play with garment structures and adjust proportions until the visual narrative feels just right.
The next phase involves designing original print patterns. Here, I experiment with motifs, scale, and color combinations, making sure each print enhances the movement and character of the clothing. Trials with different arrangements and colorways let me see how patterns integrate with the designs.
Bringing everything together, I synthesize the croquis, garments, and prints into a final illustration. I pay close attention to detail, texture, and shading to evoke the tactile feel and spirit of the finished piece. Throughout, I revisit my moodboard to maintain cohesion and authenticity, ensuring the resulting artwork resonates with creativity and intention.
